Statement

My Rt hon friend the Minister of State for Business, Energy and Clean Growth (Kwasi Kwarteng) has today made the following statement:

The UK did not attend the EU Energy Council in Brussels on 24 September 2019.

The UK Government has decided that from 1 September until exit day, UK Ministers and officials will only attend EU meetings where the UK has a significant national interest in the outcome of the discussions.
