To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, if she will make it her policy to (a) record and (b) report on the number of animals in the UK who are bred for science and not used in scientific procedures.

The Home Office is presently reviewing the collection and publication of additional statistics on animals that were bred for, but not used in, scientific procedures.
