The Government is investing £400 million in a three-year energy efficiency scheme to incentivise households to upgrade their homes. The scheme is in development, and further information will follow in time.
Separately, our £20 million Green Home Finance Accelerator programme is supporting industry to pilot innovative finance products which allow able-to-pay homeowners to meet the cost of energy retrofit. These pilots will generate exemplars to inform wider industry and policy thinking.
We have also consulted on proposals for mortgage lenders to support homeowners to improve the energy performance of their properties. We plan to respond to the consultation this year.
