To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what estimate he has made of the number of UK (a) businesses and (b) other organisations (i) operating and (ii) cooperating with businesses in Xinjiang which have been implicated in human rights abuses; and if he will make a statement.

The Government's overseas business risk guidance makes clear to UK companies the risks of operating in Xinjiang and urges them to conduct appropriate due diligence and consider their corporate responsibilities when making business decisions. In addition to the overseas business risk guidance, the Government has produced guidance for UK government bodies to help them exclude suppliers where there is sufficient evidence of modern slavery violations in any of their supply chains.
