The additional £3.3 billion in each of the next two financial years will support the National Health Service in England to respond to significant financial pressures, including inflation. The NHS resource budget will now increase to £165.9 billion in 2024/25 and will improve emergency, elective and primary care performance, introduce reforms to support the workforce and improve long term performance in the health system.
