Locally designed council tax support schemes were introduced in 2013-14 to provide council tax reductions to households in financial need, replacing the previous national council tax benefit scheme. This data is published annually by the Department (attached) here.
The Government has provided councils with £3 billion to provide the council tax rebate in 2022-23. The allocations for funding for the rebate is available (attached) here.
