In 2022-23 there are projected to be 2.2 million individuals paying individual National Insurance Contributions (Class 1, 2 or 4) and 3.0 million individuals with earnings under £25,000 in Yorkshire and the Humber, which includes the Parliamentary Constituency of Wakefield.
These estimates are based on the 2019-20 Survey of Personal Incomes, projected using economic assumptions consistent with the Office for Budget Responsibility’s March 2022 Economic and Fiscal Outlook.
HM Treasury does not publish this information at constituency level.
