The Government has set two new targets for fine particulate matter and increased the funding available to local authorities through the Air Quality Grant Scheme to £11.6 million to support councils deliver projects to address air pollution and its impact on health.

The Government supports an expert group, including Asthma + Lung UK, to improve the information and advice on air pollution on the UK-AIR website. We are also working with organisations such as Health Education England and the Royal Colleges to ensure that healthcare professionals are equipped to treat those vulnerable to the health impacts of air pollution.
