Question for Department of Health and Social Care

UIN 11851, tabled on 27 May 2022

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care , what funding the Government has made available for (a) short, (b) medium and (c) long-term specialist mental health services for people fleeing from Ukraine.

While no specific funding has been made available, we have developed guidance for Ukrainian arrivals on accessing health services, including mental health support, in addition to guidance for health care professionals. Arrivals on Ukraine Family and Homes for Ukraine visa schemes are entitled to free health care, including mental health services.

If Ukrainian arrivals experience symptoms of poor mental health, evidence-based treatment is available via their general practitioner or local Improving Access to Psychological Therapies services.
