We have been working closely with local authorities in the lead up to the launch of the scheme as they have a vast amount of knowledge and experience of welcoming new arrivals and supporting their long-term integration. We are providing £10,500 per person to local authorities to enable them to provide much wider support to families to rebuild their lives and fully integrate into our communities. Ukrainian guests will be able to access benefits, healthcare, employment, and other support. After leaving their initial accommodation they will be able to rent a property and the local authorities can support them in finding alternative accommodation.
