Question for Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities

UIN 141278, tabled on 16 March 2022

To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, how many Assets of Community Value, as defined by the Localism Act 2011, there are in England as of 16 March 2022.

Councils are responsible for the oversight and administration of their own local Assets of Community Value scheme. They must publish a list of their decisions and are accountable to local people for the decisions they take. The Government does not hold a central list of this information; we do not require local authorities in England to submit updates to the department on the number of Assets of Community Value which they have listed or rejected.
