Question

The government welcomes the commitments already made by a number of UK firms to reduce or sell holdings of Russian assets and supports further signals of intent.

The government also expects financial institutions to comply with the economic sanctions that are currently in place. The Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation has issued licenses where appropriate to enable the orderly wind down of business with specific sanctioned entities.
