NHS Covid Pass: Children

Question for Department of Health and Social Care

UIN 80268, tabled on 23 November 2021

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps his Department is taking to ensure fully covid-19 vaccinated children aged 12 and over can demonstrate their vaccination status for the purposes of international travel.

The NHS COVID Pass is currently available to people aged 16 years old and over and can be used to demonstrate vaccination and recovery from COVID-19. We are exploring ways to provide fully vaccinated 12 to 15 year olds with a travel NHS COVID Pass and further information will be available in due course. Most countries regard under 16 year olds as fully vaccinated, with others accepting testing or in a small number countries, recovery is accepted as equivalent to full vaccination.
