To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how much his Department has paid private landowners in Kenya to allow British army training on their estates in the most recent period for which data is available.

The amount the Department has paid private land owners in Kenya to allow training on their estate cannot be released as it is commercially sensitive. To release such information could prejudice relations with landowners and jeopardise future training commitments.
