Osteoporosis: Disadvantaged

Question for Department of Health and Social Care

UIN 75021, tabled on 15 November 2021

No recent assessment has been made. The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities was recently established within the Department to work with the National Health Service, local government, industry and partners to reduce health disparities and drive health improvement. Additionally, NHS England and NHS Improvement recognise the need for improved fracture prevention programmes to reduce regional and social inequalities in fracture incidence and outcome.

Integrated care systems are required to take a quality improvement approach to narrowing such health inequalities, implementing the five strategic priorities outlined in the 2021/22 Priorities and Operational Planning Guidance and aligning with the Core20PLUS strategy.
