To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of recent reports of young Afghan girls being sold into marriage.

We are deeply concerned by the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, particularly its impact on the most vulnerable, including women and girls. We are concerned by the practice of forced marriage in Afghanistan, particularly for children, and that more women and girls could be sold into marriage as the humanitarian situation worsens. We continue to closely monitor the situation.
