To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what estimate his Department has made of the amount of carbon emitted per passenger traveling on a single journey from London to (a) Glasgow, (b) Edinburgh, (c) Manchester by (i) air, (ii) train and (iii) car.

The estimated average carbon dioxide equivalent (kgCO2e) emissions per passenger, including direct or tailpipe emissions, indirect emissions resulting from fuel refinery and transportation and indirect effects (for air travel) for London to Glasgow are as follows:
