To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment his Department has made of the effect of the length of the covid-19 outbreak on plans to reduce the NHS backlog.

No formal assessment has been made. We continue to engage with NHS England and NHS Improvement to build capacity and to reduce the backlog, with a further £1 billion announced to tackle waiting lists.
