Question for Home Office

UIN 41803, tabled on 3 September 2021

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many staff are processing (a) applications made under the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP) for resettlement support and (b) requests for support made by non-British nationals in Afghanistan who have been identified in a priority group for assistance outside of ARAP; what estimate she has made of the number of staff required to process the volume of applications on receipt and to achieve the fastest possible turnaround of cases; and if she will make a statement.

Staff are being deployed flexibly to ensure sufficient capacity to respond to priorities and the department will ensure that enough resource is made available to process applications.
