The Department has produced equality analyses of the potential impact of COVID-19 restrictions to assist in decision-making. We will consider an updated equality analysis before any decisions are taken on restrictions from 19 July which will cover all protected characteristics, including sex, maternity, disability and race. This satisfies the public sector equality duty on public authorities to consider how their policies or decisions affect people who are protected under the Equality Act 2010.
