To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the impact of the UK–EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement on (1) staff shortages in the construction industry, and (2) the impact of any such staff shortages on house building rates.

The Government has a set of housing delivery goals and an assessment of the likely workforce requirements to achieve these goals. We will keep a track of how workforce numbers evolve, including in the context of the UK’s departure from the EU, over the coming months and years.
We have been making strong progress against the ambition to build at least 1 million new homes in England by the end of this Parliament. In 2019-20, around 244,000 net additional homes were delivered – the highest number of new homes for over 30 years, and the seventh consecutive year that net supply has increased.
