UIN 16273, tabled on 15 June 2021

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, with reference to the Answer of 27 November 2020 to Question 118120, what assessment he has made of the implications for his policies of the of the Nita M. Lowey Middle East Partnership for Peace Act 2020; and whether the UK will assume one of the international seats on the governing board of the International Fund for Israeli-Palestinian Peace created by that Act.

The UK government shares the objective of increasing understanding and dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians. In support of this, we continue to fund peacebuilding projects focused on Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories. UK officials also remain in close contact with the US government regarding the International Fund. We look forward to hearing more from the Alliance for Middle East Peace (ALLMEP) and US Government about the International Fund's objectives and the projects it will support. Once more information is available, we will consider options for collaboration.
