To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, if he will ensure that the successor to the Royal Yacht Britannia will be (a) built in the UK and (b) constructed using UK materials.

The National Flagship will be built in the UK. It is too early to say what the materials requirement for the National Flagship might be. We will seek to maximise the UK content throughout the vessel within the limits of our international obligations.
