Following my previous answers in response to the honourable member regarding Eurostar’s situation, we are very much aware of the severe and ongoing impact COVID-19 is having on the company, particularly given the continuing restrictions to international travel. We continue to have extensive engagement with international rail operators, including Eurostar, on the impact of border measures on their companies.

Further measures, including additions to the ‘red list’ are kept under constant review and will only be used for as long as is necessary to manage the risk of imported variants.
