The Ministry is committed to ensuring the justice system is supported by quality transcription services that meet the needs of all those that require them.
As part of the transcription contract which began on 26 June 2017 the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is confident that crown court transcripts provided by the Suppliers have a high degree of accuracy. The service provided by the suppliers is monitored by the MoJ and requires contracted Suppliers to sample a proportion of all transcripts produced on a monthly basis and report their findings to the Ministry. There is in place a robust complaints procedure which includes a quality assessment check of the transcript in question, the conclusion of which is decided by the Ministry.
