The Government has been supporting and continues to support Channel Tunnel operators, including rail freight operators, to put in place robust and effective contingency measures to ensure the continuation of critical services following the end of the Transition Period.

The Government continues to engage regularly with France to establish bilateral arrangements to further support the continuation of services through the Channel Tunnel and to provide long-term certainty to operators. These bilateral discussions are progressing well and the Government will continue to press to ensure the necessary arrangements are in place for the end of the Transition Period to support the continuation of services.
