The estimates for revenue raised from the Digital Services Tax were revised at Budget 2020. The revised estimates were set out in the Budget 2020 documents:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/budget-2020-documents
First, there was an update to reflect technical changes made to the measure shown in Table 2.1. Secondly, there was an update to reflect changes to the underlying data which is shown in Table 2.2. The revised estimates are shown below:
Yield (£m) | 2020-21 | 2021-22 | 2022-23 | 2023-24 | 2024-25 |
Table 2.1 | -£5 | £0 | £0 | £0 | +£70 |
Table 2.2 | +£285 | +£390 | +£425 | +£460 | +£440 |
Total | +£280 | +£390 | +£425 | +£460 | +£510 |
