Question for Department for International Trade

UIN 58655, tabled on 11 June 2020

HM Government publishes Official Statistics (on a quarterly and annual basis) about export licences granted, refused and revoked to all destinations on GOV.UK.

These reports contain detailed information on export licences issued, refused or revoked, by destination, including the overall value, type (e.g. Military, Other) and a summary of the items covered by these licences. These can be found at: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/strategic-export-controls-licensing-data.

The data currently provides details of licences up to 31st December 2019. Information about the period 1st January to 31st March 2020 will be published in July 2020 and data covering the period 1st April to 30th September 2020 will be published in October 2020.

Bespoke reports (e.g. by country, goods type and for specific timeframes) may also be produced by registering on the Strategic Export Controls Reports and Statistics Website at: https://www.exportcontroldb.trade.gov.uk/sdb2/fox/sdb/SDBHOME. However, an itemised list of all exports to the United States of America of goods listed under control entry PL5001 is not centrally held and could only be provided at disproportionate cost.

Named day
Named day questions only occur in the House of Commons. The MP tabling the question specifies the date on which they should receive an answer. MPs may not table more than five named day questions on a single day.
