Government officials are working with local leaders and across Whitehall to understand the regional picture. The Government is committed to supporting all regions and nations of the UK. We have provided an unprecedented national package of support in recent weeks, supporting businesses, protecting jobs, and providing our public services with the resources they need to cope with the pressures of Covid-19 in the short term.

Named day questions only occur in the House of Commons. The MP tabling the question specifies the date on which they should receive an answer. MPs may not table more than five named day questions on a single day.
