To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the risk that Coronavirus could be transmitted to the UK on the surface of electronic goods manufactured in China.

We do not yet know the routes of transmission of COVID-19. However, other coronaviruses are mainly transmitted by large respiratory droplets and direct or indirect contact with infected secretions. It is highly unlikely coronavirus can be spread through packages from affected countries or through food.
