To ask Her Majesty's Government what plans they have, if any, to ban children from using their mobile phones during lesson time.

Schools are able to choose how mobile phones are used on school premises and during the school day. This can include banning or limiting their use. Schools are required by law to have a behaviour policy, which should make any policy regarding mobile phones known to all staff, pupils and parents. This policy should also outline any sanctions that will be imposed for breaking the rules. Sanctions can include confiscating mobile phones, where this is set out in the school’s behaviour policy.
