To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what the timeframe is for the next Governor of the Bank of England to take up their post.

The process to appoint the next Governor of the Bank of England was launched in April. The process is on track. We will make an announcement in due course, ahead of the start of the next Governor’s term on 1 February 2020.
