To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what estimate he has made of the number of recorded hate crimes by each protected characteristic defined in the Equality Act 2010 in each year since 2010.

The Home Office collects and publishes statistics on the number of hate crimes recorded by the police in England and Wales since 2011/12 in Table 2 of the Hate Crime data tables available here: Such data was not collected prior to 2011/12 and data for 2018/19 are due to be published later this year.
