To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what steps the Government is taking to seek a ceasefire throughout Yemen.

A nationwide ceasefire will only have an effect on the ground if it is underpinned by a political deal between the conflict parties. A political settlement is the only way to bring long-term stability to Yemen and to address the worsening humanitarian crisis. The Yemeni parties must engage constructively and in good faith to overcome obstacles and find a political solution to end the conflict.

Named day questions only occur in the House of Commons. The MP tabling the question specifies the date on which they should receive an answer. MPs may not table more than five named day questions on a single day.
