To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, if he will discuss with the Secretary of State for International Development the introduction and implementation of strategies to protect the right to freedom of religion or belief in countries which have severe societal or governmental restrictions on that right.

Defending the right to freedom of religion or belief remains a top priority for this Government. Ministers and officials from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the Department for International Development (DFID) regularly discuss strategies and approaches to supporting this universal human right.
