To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what his Department's policy is on making a breach of the proposed Domestic Abuse Protection Orders a criminal offence.

The Government’s wide-ranging consultation on domestic abuse closed last Thursday. The consultation asked for views on the proposed Domestic Abuse Protection Order – including whether breach of the order should be criminalised. We are analysing more than 3,200 responses received from survivors of domestic abuse, frontline professionals, experts from the domestic abuse sector and academics.
As announced in the Queen’s Speech, the Government remain committed to bringing forward a draft Bill this Session.
