To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, pursuant to the Answer of 27 April to Question 136690, if he will set out the range of possible financing structures that are currently being considered for financing new nuclear.

As stated in the Government’s response to the Public Accounts Committee Inquiry into Hinkley Point C dated 28th January 2018, the Government will assess the cost and risk implications of a range of possible financing structures. Ministers will consider this range of optionswhen deciding whether and how to proceed with future new nuclear projects. Discussions with developers are commercially sensitive and no final decisions have been made.
