To ask the Secretary of State for Education, with reference to his Department’s news story Drive to create more good school places for families published on 11 May 2018, whether the £50 million a year Selective Schools Expansion Fund is in addition to the £50 million of funding to allow selective schools to expand announced in paragraph 5.13 of the Autumn Statement 2016.

The £50 million capital funding confirmed for 2018/19 by the Department on 11 May is part of the funding that was announced in paragraph 5.13 of the Autumn Statement 2016.
