The UK and US Governments have remained in close contact since the start of the current Rohingya crisis. In recent weeks officials have discussed respective approaches to supporting collection of evidence for use in an investigation of those responsible for human rights violations in Rakhine State, both bilaterally and within the forum of the International Atrocity Prevention Working Group. The Foreign Secretary and Acting US Secretary of State called for a clear pathway to accountability with their counterparts at the G7 Foreign Ministers meeting of 22-23 April.
