To ask Her Majesty's Government what consultations they held with local authorities, prior to the announcement of the Serious Violence Strategy, to ascertain the extent of, and any adverse impact of, reduced resources on those support services that will no longer be available for children, young people, and families.

The Government held a series of engagement events with key partners as part of the development of the Serious Violence Strategy, which included the Local Government Association. The evidence behind a range of possible factors for the recent increases in serious violence were considered and the result of that analysis is now set out in Chapter One of the Serious Violence Strategy.
