The UK remains committed to supporting Nigeria and its neighbours in the fight against Boko Haram. Boko Haram attacks Nigerians of all faiths who do not subscribe to its extremist views, causing immense suffering in both Christian and Muslim communities. We are providing a substantial and increasing package of security, intelligence, humanitarian and development support to Nigeria. This includes training and advice for Nigerian armed forces deploying in the North East and funding in support of the regional Multinational Joint Task Force fighting Boko Haram.
