The UK has been a consistent, vocal advocate of democratic freedoms in Burma, including freedom of expression, through our discussions with the Burmese Government and parliamentarians. We have not made specific representations on proposed amendments to the Peaceful Assembly and Procession Law but are monitoring the discussion.
