The Government is committed to ensuring that the Mayor of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority has the appropriate powers to help promote local growth.
However, given the very specific purpose of the draft Non-Domestic Rating (Property in Common Occupation) Bill the Government does not consider that this is the appropriate vehicle.
The Department will continue to engage with the Mayor and the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority to work through this point.
