Take-up rates for the eligible two-year-old population benefitting from funded early education are published annually in the National Statistics release: Provision for children under five years of age in England. The next release is scheduled for June/July 2018 covering data from January 2018.

The department obtains information about eligible households from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). We are working closely with the DWP to improve our data-sharing and ensure the comprehensiveness of the information provided.
