Our Embassy in Ankara is in regular discussion with the Turkish government, civil society groups, businesses and UN agencies on how to address the issue of violence against women and children. The Family and Social Affairs Minister has said Turkey has a zero tolerance policy for violence against women and is committed to taking action in this area, as well as on child abuse.
