The UK will undertake the support and maintenance of its F-35 aircraft at RAF Marham and on board the Queen Elizabeth Class Carriers.
In addition to the maintenance undertaken by each of the F-35 partner nations on their respective aircraft, there are some elements of in-depth support that will be undertaken through regional repair hubs for best value and cost efficiency reasons. To date, within Europe, Italy has been selected as the European regional repair hub for airframes; Turkey has been selected as the repairing for engines; and the UK and the Netherlands have been selected as repair hubs for aircraft components.
The UK will be bidding for additional contracts when they are tendered by the F-35 Joint Program Office.
