The Careers & Enterprise Company recently published its ‘State of the Nation 2017’ research paper. The paper, which was published in conjunction with the Gatsby Charitable Foundation, showed that 51% of schools that undertook self-evaluation through the Compass programme met two or more Gatsby benchmarks. Over 79% of schools met one or more benchmark. In total, 578 secondary schools took part in the self-assessment exercise.

The Compass self-assessment tool was established by The Careers & Enterprise Company and the Gatsby Charitable Foundation, to enable schools to measure themselves against the Gatsby benchmarks.
