To ask Her Majesty’s Government, in the light of the fact that approximately half of the structures in Susiya in Area C of the West Bank were funded by the EU, what representations they are making to the government of Israel about the pending demolition orders and about possible forced transfer of the residents to another location.

The Foreign Secretary, my Rt Hon. Friend the Member for Uxbridge and South Ruislip (Mr Johnson) expressed UK concern over demolitions in Area C to Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu during his visit to Israel on 8 March. Our Embassy in Tel Aviv has repeatedly raised our opposition to demolitions with the Israeli authorities, and urged them to provide a legal route for Palestinian construction.
