To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what recent discussions he has had with the Sudanese authorities on the treatment of religious minorities in Sudan.

Senior officials in both Khartoum and London continue to raise the importance of freedom of religion or belief as part of our human rights dialogue with the Government of Sudan. We urge the government to uphold the commitment to their citizens in the Interim Constitution of 2005, within which religious freedom is enshrined.
