Sino-British Joint Declaration

Question for Foreign and Commonwealth Office

UIN HL3845, tabled on 6 December 2016

To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether they have any plans to conduct a comprehensive review of the implementation of the Sino-British Joint Declaration.

As a co-signatory of the Sino-British Joint Declaration, the Government is committed to monitoring thoroughly its implementation on an ongoing basis. We do this through the Foreign Secretary's Six Monthly Report to Parliament on Hong Kong. We reaffirmed this approach in the Government's response to the Foreign Affairs Committee report on Hong Kong published in March 2015.
